Gerry Deneault

Director Security Services and Senior Security Advisor

Gerry Deneault is a former senior Government of Canada executive with over 40 years of experience in the security field. He has extensive experience in every facet of corporate security as well as strategic, operational, policy and program management skills. 

Mr Deneault has managed large-scale security and government programs, with national and international dimensions. He has advised senior officials and political leaders such as the Office the Prime Minister of Canada. In 2008, Mr. Deneault received an Outstanding Career Award of Excellence from the Government of Canada for his work in the security field.

Mr. Deneault is often invited to speak on security awareness, security as a profession, and on leadership competencies at various events and forums. 

Douglas Wiemer

Director, Cybersecurity Solutions

Douglas Wiemer's experience covers the aerospace, defence and critical infrastructure sectors.  He began his career as a communications officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force, graduating from the Royal Military College of Canada in 1990 with a Bachelor’s of engineering degree and in 1995 with a Master’s of engineering.  Since then, he has developed experience in a wide range of information and communications technology disciplines, particularly in the area of cybersecurity. 

His experience spans security threat and risk assessment theory and practice, security requirements analysis, cybersecurity architecture and design, security and cryptographic feature development, security research, security vulnerability management, and cyber defence situational awareness.  While working for Alcatel-Lucent Canada (now Nokia), he spent eight years in various capacities responsible for security related research and product development concluding as the general manager of a software development team for delivery of cyber defence related products.
